Launch the new ‘Worth It!’ range
Solution
Woolworths advertised on cinema screens for the first time in its history with a 60-second ad staring Darth Vader and brand characters Wooly and Worth. Woolworths has a long-association with cinemas, but has never used it as an advertising channel before now.
The Star Wars characters in the film were played by Adrian Baseley (Darth Vader), Leigh Anthony Lewis (Storm Trooper in cupboard) and Tony Velda (passing Storm Trooper) who are members of the 501st UK Garrison, the British fan club of the movie franchise. The ad, promotes the company’s new 'Worthit!' brand.
